Track laying and Silk Road Hengshui international dry port railway special line starts construction
It is reported that the special railway line is a dry port, which is the core infrastructure to realize the functions of loading and unloading, arrival and departure of domestic and international trains and connecting the regional market. This time, Hengshui international dry port will mainly build five special railway lines, covering a total area of about 460 mu, with an estimated investment of 470 million yuan. Among them, there are 3 arrival departure lines, 1 container line and 1 bulk cargo line. The connecting line is 3.1km long. The new freight yard and storage yard are about 200000 square meters, equipped with large machinery and equipment for container loading and unloading. The special railway line will be connected to qingliangdian station of Shide line to build a direct logistics channel at home and abroad. It is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2023.
As a key construction project in Hebei Province, Hengshui international dry port is the core supporting project for building a comprehensive transportation hub in southern Beijing. It is of great significance for Hengshui to build a global opening-up pattern with east-west connection and internal and external linkage. After the completion of the project, the international dry port can promote land sea connectivity through sea rail intermodal transportation through the "eastward" special railway line, so as to realize the connection with the maritime Silk Road; "North to west" can operate central Europe and Central Asia trains, and deeply integrate the construction and development of the Silk Road Economic Belt; "South" can open the ASEAN International train, take RCEP into effect as an opportunity to explore the Southeast Asian market, and play a positive role in stimulating regional economic development and helping Hengshui integrate into the new development pattern of "double cycle".

Dongge, general manager of Hengshui international dry port, said that the construction of railway dedicated line has opened up the "last kilometer" of collection and distribution of dry port, which can release the advantages of large railway transportation volume, low freight rate, low-carbon and environmental protection, reduce enterprise logistics costs, and build a convenient logistics channel connecting domestic and foreign goods and radiating East, West and East for Hengshui and its surrounding areas. Hengshui international dry port will ensure efficient construction, high standard construction and high-quality construction of the project, improve the service capacity and level of dry port platform carrier, strive to achieve the mission objectives of "opening up window" and "multimodal transport hub", and contribute to the high-quality development of Hengshui economy and society.
Hengshui international dry port is located 12 kilometers east of Hengshui City and in qingliangdian Town, Wuyi County. With a total investment of about 4.2 billion yuan, it covers an overall area of 4388 Mu and a construction scale of about 1.5 million square meters. It is planned to have functional plates such as railway port, multimodal transport base and multi-functional area to build a modern "highway, railway, sea and air" multimodal transport international logistics hub.
